(how to make a) RAW BUTTER BOARD

We’ve all heard of charcuterie boards. Some of us have heard of raw charcuterie boards made with delicious RAW FARM Raw Cheddar Cheese. Today we bring you something unique, special, and full of surprises: a Raw Butter board! Skip the raw cheese and opt for our delicious, nutrient-dense cultured raw butter for a morning raw butter heaven.

What is raw butter?

Simply put, raw butter is butter that has not been pasteurized (heated), therefore containing active enzymes, beneficial bacteria, and probiotics. Our raw butter is made from cold-churned Heavy Raw Cream. It is as simple as that: cold cream put into a butter churner for 30-40 minutes until it becomes butter. No flavorings or colorings added. Our raw butter has an average of 87% butterfat, which means this baby is almost ENTIRELY pure raw fat; and therefore FULL of nutrients: bioavailable vitamins, minerals, enzymes, beneficial bacteria, naturally occurring CLA, and omega-3 fatty acids. The ease of digestibility of raw butter gives those that experience discomfort with processed dairy products, a delicious and natural option (isn’t that amazing).

(HOW TO MAKE A) RAW BUTTER BOARD

  • Buy a 1LB tub of RAW FARM Raw Butter (we have a cultured unsalted option or a lightly salted version) from Sprouts or another store near you in California. Find a selling location here.

  • Allow it to sit out at room temperature for a couple of hours until it is soft and spreadable. Read more about the shelf life of raw butter and how to store it properly here.

  • Scoop out pieces of raw butter and lay them onto a cutting board.

  • Sprinkle with organic cinnamon powder, kosher sea salt, and a few splashes of vanilla extract

  • Drizzle a spoonful (or more) of raw honey on top. Yum! Doesn’t this sound dreamy?

SPREAD ON TOP OF TOAST, EAT BY THE SPOONFUL, OR PAIR WITH FRESH FRUIT FOR A DELICIOUS, NUTRIENT-DENSE BREAKFAST

If you want to change things up a bit and enjoy a raw butter board with dinner tonight, replace the cinnamon, vanilla extract, and honey with more savory spices and seasonings instead. Slab a generous amount of seasoned raw butter onto meat or vegetables.
