Over 600 wonderful campers and raw milk lovers spent the night of April 30th, 2022 under the stars on our farm in the Central Valley, with our sweet cows in the field behind us. In case you missed it, we want to share with you ALL about this amazing experience!
ARRIVAL & SET UP
Did you know that preparation for Camping With the Cows (CWTC) starts 9 months BEFORE we host the event? Kaleigh Lutz, VP & Marketing Director, started planning CWTC in August of 2021! There’s a LOT of work that goes into planning this one-of-a-kind event. This is why we host the event every other year, so we can focus on other important projects in-between.

WELCOME MESSAGE
After arrival and set-up was complete, it was time for our Welcome Message. Our 600 + happy and excited campers gathered together in the main event barn, where they met our family and got the run-down for the weekend’s activities.
Event Schedule:

4:00pm: Wine & Raw Cheese Tasting
6:00pm: Dinner Hour
8:00pm: S’mores & Bonfire | Stargazing
THE FOLLOWING MORNING
6:00am: gourmet coffee pour-over bar + RAW CREAM! (YUM!) + breakfast cereal and raw milk
9:00am: Milk barn tour
12:00pm: Clean up and departure
DAY ONE
GAMES AND ACTIVITIES
From climbing hay bales, the littles playing in the baby zone, competitive tug-of-war, horse riding, going for a ride on the cow train, and even seeing Mark McAfee (founder of RAW FARM) drop half gallons of raw milk from his airplane. WOW, there was never a dull moment.
RAW CHEESE AND WINE TASTING HOUR
In the late afternoon, campers enjoyed a delicious RAW FARM Raw Cheddar Cheese charcuterie cup and a glass of fine wine, sponsored by Sprouts Farmers Market (thank you Sprouts)! Many campers tried our raw cheddar for the very first time and LOVED it, while others enjoyed their well-known and loved go-to cheddar cheese.
DINNER HOUR | COFFEE TRUCK
In addition to healthy snacks and drinks provided by Sprouts, we had an amazing Mexican food truck cater our event, serving the BEST tacos and burrito bowls in town! Thank you Ricas Taquizas El Mayo for the delicious dinner. We enjoyed it with LOTS of shredded raw cheddar on top.
Emme’s Sidewalk Café
We are so grateful that Emme’s Sidewalk Café parked their truck on our farm on Saturday and Sunday morning so our campers could enjoy a nice cup of coffee, tea, iced beverages or other yummy selections!
S’MORES, STARGAZING, AND BONFIRES
When twilight hit (after watching the beautiful West Coast sunset), it was time to get the bonfires crackling. We lit a personal bonfire for each group. This is the best part of the day. Families re-group, reflect on the fun and activities of the day, and enjoy s’mores while spending quality time together. This is the time to relax, roast marshmallows, talk about the day, and enjoy the stars. We were honored and thankful to have several local volunteer astronomer groups come out with their awesome telescopes to educate and share with us the beauty of the vast universe beyond our planet.

THE FOLLOWING MORNING
COFFEE STATION | BREAKFAST
Rise and shine! From 6:00am-9:00am, we served fresh, organic pour-over coffee from Sprouts along with our very own Heavy Raw Cream and raw milk. For breakfast, campers enjoyed organic cereal and raw milk. YUM! 😋
MILK BARN TOUR
The last (and perhaps most insightful) activity was the milk barn tour. Campers hiked the 0.25 mile walk down to the barn, or hopped on the back of tour mobile to see first-hand the precious cows that supply your delicious, nutritious, and so-loved raw milk. Mark showed campers how our cows are milked and our flash-chilled ,TESTED program. Aaron held a small circle in front of the dairy where he shared stories and answered customers’ most commonly asked questions. This was a true behind-the-scenes experience!
INFLUENCERS
This was the very first Camping With the Cows where we invited our Influencers to come share their experiences with their followers. We hosted a special VIP area for our staff and influencers. Influencers, we hope you enjoyed your time and hopefully we made your dreams come true. We are so grateful for the work you do to represent our company. ❤️
