What to Expect When You Come to the event:
CHECK-IN
We are always VERY excited to see the first car, RV, van, and caravan of campers arriving. We ask campers to try to arrive no earlier than 11 am, to allow our team ample time to set up all stations and decor. If you are a little, that is alright. If you are arriving late (after the event begins at 2 pm), please drive slowly and allow our team to safely help you find your campsite. Once the event begins, there are many fun activities and we want to ensure all campers are safe. Please try your hardest to arrive between 11 am-2 pm for this reason. If you are planning on coming and going (that is fine), there will be a “temporary parking” lot for anyone who wants to be able to come and go without interrupting the event. This is perfect for anyone who is planning on joining someone else’s camping site, as well. REGARDLESS, upon arrival, a team member will check you in. All campers must show proof of their ticket or provide the invoice number, or the first/last name their tickets were purchased under. If you are coming with a large group, it is best if the car you are driving in has their tickets purchased together for the easiest check-in experience. Check-in takes place on the main road off the main entrance 7221 South Jameson Ave, Fresno, CA 93706. We are very quick to get you to your event. Expect check-in to take less than a minute. We are excited to see you there!
CAMPING
Everyone camps differently. We have no preference for your camping style. We see tents, RVs, vans, truckbeds with blow-up mattresses, etc. If you are planning on sleeping under the stars, we highly recommend laying down a ground cover under your sleeping bag to prevent the morning moister from the pastures making you wet and damp. A tent is the most common camping style, but we are also seeing a growing interest in renting an RV. Some come in a group and make a little compound for themselves with their friends and family. We love that. Whether you are flying solo or coming with your own crew, we will be helping you upon arrival to find the perfect spot for you. WE WILL ASK YOU, “DO YOU WANT THE PEACEFUL SIDE OR A PARTY SIDE?” Do not be intimidated by this question. The purpose of having two sides is to allow all campers the experience they desire. Some come and want to enjoy lively bonfire stories (the party side) and some come to really enjoy a good book with the wide open spaces and peaceful pastures (the peaceful side). We usually see about 75% go to the party side and 25% to the peaceful side. Both sides serve their purpose and all have a great time. This is also to help ensure no one is annoyed with other campers. This keeps the peace, literally:) Works like a charm., every time!
PACKING LIST
Extra snacks and beverages: We provide the basics and you technically don’t need to bring anything else, HOWEVER, campers also enjoy packing a few more items. With your ticket, you already get a charcuterie cup with RAW FARM raw cheese, olives, and crackers. Dinner is the BEST local tacos or rice bowl, and breakfast is a fun boxed cereal with RAW FARM Whole Raw Milk. For campers who thrive on morning coffee, we will have complimentary coffee via our epic pour-over station with complementary raw milk and cream. Feel free to bring any additional snacks, meals, or beverages your group desires.
Personal Shade: It is “boondock-style” camping, so come with your own camping tents that provide personal shade if you want that for your personal camping sites. IT IS NOT REQUIRED. We will have a large event building with plenty of haybale seating for daytime lounging and relaxing.
Water Bottle: Please bring your reusable bottle and cups. We try to reduce waste and cups used (especially). The less trash produced at the event the better.
Please bring a campfire chair: We do have plenty of lounge seating setups with hay bales for fun during the activities. At night, after all of the daytime fun, everyone enjoys the campfires we set up (about 75 bonfires are provided along the camping road) and you will want your most comfortable chair for stargazing under the stars.
Appropriate clothing: We suggest packing boots or sneakers, a hat for daytime activities to protect from the sun, and a hoodie for nighttime to cuddle around the camp bonfires. IF YOU WANT TO SUPPORT OUR EVENT, we have hats, shirts, and hoodies for sale and you rock our event merch! Our days can be perfectly warm, but our nights are perfectly chilly. Please bring layers to maintain your comfortable temperature.
PETS
For pet families that can’t find a pet sitter or for service animals, we allow personal pets on leashes. To respect all campers and to provide the best camping experience, we thank you in advance to have your pet on leashes at all times. Let’s be honest, everyone adores a fluffy and cute pet so I personally look forward to seeing them enjoy the farm, too. At no time will they be permitted to freely fun around the farm. There are many reasons for this. I have hilarious personal stories of friend who have brought their dogs to the farm to allow them to “fun freely on a farm” and the result is HOURS of frustration trying to get their pet back to them. Animals MUST be leashed and kept with their camper at all times. We also request that you be mindful of others who may have animal fears. Even though we are a animal-friendly family without fears, others may feel differently. So, to be respectful of all (pet and camper) we simply have all campers keep their pets on leashes. Easy.
HELPFUL TIP:
Plugs, generators, and cords: We have standard power stations ready for anyone who needs a quick charge for a device or blow up their mattress. We ask that you bring your own plugs and cords and take them with you when you are done. It is pretty hilarious seeing everyone blowing up their mattresses upon arrival and the teenagers all powering up their devices right at sundown. No matter what your need is, we have got your back! However, we do not have electric car charging stations, but in an absolute emergency for an electric car, we can help you. At the farm store, we have the ability to charge one car at a time. So, we will have that for only emergencies.
GAS UP BEFORE: When you are driving to the farm there is only a gas station about 10 miles away. Don’t arrive on E. Top off your tank before coming, so you don’t need to worry about gas upon arrival. It happens every year. Campers arrive in a panic because they arrived on E and didn’t stop on their drive to top off. So, just make sure you have a quarter tank and all will be well.
ACTIVITIES
This is HANDS-DOWN the most unique event you will ever experience. From the moment you arrive at the farm to the moment you sadly depart, we keep you having a blast! We offer a wide variety of activities to keep all ages engaged and having the time of their lives. We are bringing back the MOST REQUESTED ACTIVITY: The Raw Milk Chugging Competition! We can’t wait to see who wins this year. The funniest activity and most entertaining to watch is the Tug-o-War Competition. We always have a blast seeing everyone give it their best effort to win! Throughout the day, we offer many fun things for everyone to do, but if you seek quiet time we recommend that you bring a great book and relax as you wish. The cows will be excited to see everyone!
SHOP
We couldn’t offer the event without your sales support through purchasing merchandise, products, and swag items. We will have our entire product line available for take-home sales. BRING YOUR ICE CHEST! You will enjoy farm direct pricing and the freshest product around. This year, we will have our trucker hat, campfire mug, hoodie, and shirt (youth and adult sizes). We are so thankful for your buying support. This helps keep ticket prices low and helps us cover the cost of offering the event. We also love seeing you rock your swag after your event (don’t forget to tag us)! We still see our campfire mugs being tagged on social media. We love to see it.
We can’t wait to see you at this upcoming CAMPING WITH THE COWS, 2024
The next CWTC isn’t until 2026.
