5 HEALTHY PROBIOTIC RAW SNACK IDEAS

When you’re hungry and need a quick bite to eat, it can be quite tempting to grab something packaged that is easy to carry on-the-go. However, those packaged options are usually highly processed and are not likely the healthiest for you. They may not always leave you feeling your best. When your body asks for food, it is asking for ENERGY! It’s very important you provide your body with the best type of fuel out there: whole, raw, and unprocessed foods. Raw dairy products make for delicious, nutritious snack options, breakfast ideas, and healthy additions to meals. Raw dairy products are made with few simple ingredients (Whole Raw Milk) from cows that graze on grass year-round. Let’s look at a few of our favorite healthy probiotic, raw snack ideas:

1. Raw Cheese and Crackers

What a classic, yet simple and delicious snack idea to start off with. 2. Raw Kefir Smoothie

Raw Kefir smoothies are a classic in our family! We absolutely love them, and so do our children. They’re so easy to make! Simply blend a quart of Raw Kefir (Plain, Vanilla, Golden, or Goat Kefir); frozen organic fruit such as berries, mangos, or bananas; and raw honey or another sweetener of choice. Sometimes I add egg yolks or Heavy Raw Cream for an extra probiotic boost and healthy fats to keep me full throughout the day if I’m having this for breakfast, rather than simply for a snack. You can also turn this recipe into a Raw Kefir Smoothie BOWL and dress with your toppings of choice like fresh fruit and organic granola.

WHAT IS RAW KEFIR?

RAW FARM Whole Raw Kefir is made by culturing our whole raw milk with 12 specialized bacteria colonies (in addition to the bio-diverse colonies of beneficial bacteria naturally found in our raw milk). It is cultured for 36-48 hours to achieve a pH of approximately 3.8. RAW FARM Whole Raw Kefir is deliciously smooth and very drinkable! Raw Kefir contains special prebiotics, which feed and protects gut bacteria. 3. Berries & Whipped Raw Cream

This one has to be one of my favorites. Seriously, I can’t get enough of whipped raw cream. It’s so easy to make. Don’t believe me? Simply pour Heavy Raw Cream into your stand mixer, add a splash of organic vanilla extract and a dollop of raw honey, and let mix for 3-5 minutes. Before you know it, the whipped raw cream is ready to be enjoyed! (Keep churning and you’ll eventually get homemade raw butter). 😉 Pair with fresh fruit like strawberries, raspberries, or blueberries.

4. Raw Kefir & Granola

Our Raw Kefir is very much like yogurt, in drinkable form. It’s not quite as thick as yogurt, but it is thicker than regular milk. Pairing Plain or Vanilla Raw Kefir with organic granola makes for a delicious snack or breakfast in the morning. My favorite is Vanilla Raw Kefir with Organic Sprouted Granola found at Sprouts in California. 😍

5. Dark Chocolate and RAW butter!

Okay, this is a unique one! It’s common practice for people to consume chocolate with nut butters, like peanut butter and almond butter. I mean, that’s what chocolate peanut butter cups are all about, right? 😉 BUT, what if you could make it even better, even cleaner, and even healthier for you? Instead of chocolate and nut butter, try organic dark chocolate and RAW butter. This combination is not only creamy, dense, and delicious, but the combination of healthy fats will keep you feeling feeling satiated and energized.
