10 MINUTE OATMEAL WITH RAW MILK AND RAW BUTTER
Yum! Oatmeal is a classical breakfast, perfect for a chilly fall or winter morning, which is soon to be upon us! Oats in and of themselves are full of fiber and carbohydrates for quick-energy, but to really make oats sustain you for longer, a good source of healthy raw fats are needed, and that’s where RAW FARM raw dairy products come into play.
By adding raw milk, raw cream, and even raw butter into your morning oats, you elevate your breakfast to the NEXT level, both taste-wise (because the texture is so rich and creamy) and nutritional-wise, because you are adding the fat soluble vitamins to your meal (A, D, E, and K) which are essential for brain, skin, hair health, and more.
The proven health components found in raw dairy products are unlike ANY “milk alternatives”, naturally! Nothing is added to enhance or stabilize this life-giving food. Enjoy our products without any “tummy intolerance” or milk sensitivities. Isn’t that amazing?! Let’s get into how to make this lovely morning treat.
WHAT ARE THE BEST OATS TO USE?
When choosing oats, make sure to opt for organic, gluten-free, and ideally sprouted oats. Oats are known for containing glyphosate, a harmful herbicide. While glyphosate may work well at killing certain weeds and grasses during production, it is not good for human consumption and the beneficial bacteria found in our bodies. So, it’s best to avoid it and opt for organic, gluten free oats.
As for sprouted oats, sprouting increases the protein and free amino acids in the oats, and makes them easier to digest. Sprouting oats for 24 hours helps to break down antinutrient phytates by 13% to 20%, and sprouting helps improve the bioavailabilty of vitamins and nutrients. In addition, sprouted oats are higher in magnesium and GABA than regular oats. (source).

Total time: 10 mins
Yield: 2 servings
INGREDIENTS
1 cup of organic, gluten free oats
1 cup of RAW FARM Whole Raw Milk (or water)
1/8 tsp of kosher sea salt
1/2 tsp of organic ground cinnamon
1 cup of frozen organic berries
4 tablespoons of RAW FARM Raw Butter
(optional) 1 tsp of raw honey
INSTRUCTIONS
Combine oats, milk (or water), salt, and cinnamon in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low.*
Simmer uncovered for 3-5 minutes until thickened, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Divide equally between 2 bowls. Make sure oats are cool enough so that you can place a finger in it without it hurting. This indicates you can safely add raw products in without destroying any raw benefits. (Be careful here!)
Add 2 tablespoons of raw butter into each bowl . Top with frozen berries.
Optional: drizzle with raw cream. Enjoy this #RAWGOODNESS!
Recipe notes:
*Opt for either raw milk OR water when cooking the coats. Many people wonder if you can cook or bake with raw dairy products. The answer is yes, you can use raw dairy products like you would regular dairy products! In fact, it’s even better to use RAW FARM raw dairy products when cooking and baking because (1) they come from a safe, trusted, and grass-grazed source and (2) destruction of nutrients and bacteria occur depending on how long the product is heated for, and how high it is heated at. So, using already-pasteurized dairy products in your recipes is like pasteurizing all over again, while using raw dairy products in your recipes may actually preserve some raw benefits! Plus, using raw milk rather than water in this recipe will make your oats extra creamy.
