This has been a very busy tour-giving year…so busy it broke records! Our farming family has given tours since 1998 with the mindset to teach and serve our community about the RAW GOODNESS we produce, proudly. In the year 2022, we gave a record number of RAW FARM tours and our cows have loved all of the attention! However, it wasn’t an easy year for our little farm.

DEAR LOVED CUSTOMERS

What a different year it has been. Our hearts needed all of you, and you came. You came in record volumes! After our creamery fire in January, our family was left with a deep sadness of loss, but it turns out that the best thing to receive was a warm hug for healing from ALL OF YOU. We are feeling so blessed and grateful to have met all of you. We laughed, ugly cried, hugged, shared raw recipes, but most of all—- toured. We didn’t have a creamery to tour this year (that was an awkward feeling at first), but thousands of customers learned about HOW UNIQUE AND SPECIAL our little RAW FARM is!

Because there wasn’t a creamery to tour, we gave all of our tours a very special behind-the-scenes tour, focusing on the MILKING BARN! Many of our tours had never toured a milking barn before, and our RAW MILK milking barn didn’t disappoint. For the customers who DID the tour, we tested their bravery by seeing “who was the bravest of them all”. By a show of hands, the bravest walked into the heart of the milking barn to see the cows up and personal! We also tested their sense of humor (raw farm prank) challenging them to “touch the cold milking line”. They first experienced feeling a warm stainless steel milk line, flowing second’s -old warm milk from the cow to a supper cold line that was flash chilled. Hilarious to watch the fear melt away when they finished the challenge. The little brave preschool-aged children would hold out their hands to realize that the COLD raw milking line wasn’t scary after all…

It was moments like these that kept our spirits growing all year. We got our “wings” back.; eventually, we were back to our old selves with farm jokes, pranks, and fun facts.

Although it wasn’t the same as before, and many of you shared in our grief seeing our creamery-fire burn scares that still remain today, this tour season was unique and very special to us in its own surprising way. With that farm spirit, we thank you for being part of this year’s roller-coaster journey. We apologize :) to our first tour (post-fire) because it was extremely emotional and difficult to give. Thank you for pulling us through that tour’s emotions. We thank that specific tour because it gave us our wings and encouragement to continue this year’s full tour season. In the middle of our tour season, we hosted an event, called Camping with the Cows, with another record-breaking attendance! That event sealed the deal for us. We are 100% in love with all of you and recharge for what is ahead in 2023. You have a very special place in our family’s hearts.

2023 will be a VERY different tour year! If all goes as planned, it will be filled with the sound of construction as we begin our new creamery re-build. We will definitely continue to share all the exciting behind-the-scenes at RAW FARM.
