HOW TO MAKE: CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES (WITH REAL, RAW BUTTER)

THE RECIPE

*Recipe makes 5 dozen cookies

  • 2 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour (gluten free flour, optional)

  • 1 tsp of kosher sea salt

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 3/4 cup of white sugar

  • 3/4 cup of light brown sugar

  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract

  • 1/2 lb (2 sticks) of RAW FARM Cultured Raw Butter, softened

  • 2 large Pasture Raised Eggs

  • 2 cups (12-ounce package) of milk chocolate chips

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease 2 large 18” x 26” baking sheets with raw butter.

  2. In a medium glass bowl, sift together flour, salt, and baking soda until combined. Set aside for later.

  3. In a large glass bowl or stand mixer, cream together sugar, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and softened raw butter until combined. The texture should be slightly grainy.

  4. Add in the pastured eggs, mixing one at a time.

  5. Slowly transfer the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. Pour 1/3 of the dry mixture into the glass bowl or stand mixer and beat until combined. Then, add another 1/3, mixing until combined. Finally, add the final 1/3 of the dry ingredients and beat until the dough is smooth, thick, and there is no more flour along the edges or clumps present in the dough.

  6. Mix in the chocolate chips, one bag at a time.

  7. Use an ice cream scooper or a dining spoon, form your cookie dough into tablespoon size balls, and place it on the baking sheet. Store any leftover dough in the refrigerator to bake later, or form the cookie dough into balls and freeze.

  8. Bake in the oven for 8-10 minutes for gooey chocolate chip cookies or 11-12 minutes for crispy.

  9. Remove from the oven and let cool for 15-20 minutes. Pour yourself a fresh glass of Whole Raw Milk and enjoy! Make sure to save some for Santa. 😉
