RAW KEFIR SMOOTHIE | HEALTHY, RAW PROBIOTIC DRINK

If you’ve never tried a Raw Kefir smoothie before, you’re in a for a big treat. This is one of my favorite breakfast ideas. It’s easy to make, full of health benefits, and extremely delicious. If you’ve never tried Raw Kefir before, you’re also in for something special! RAW FARM Raw Kefir is made by culturing our whole raw milk with 12 specialized bacteria colonies (in addition to the bio-diverse colonies of beneficial bacteria naturally found in our raw milk). It is smooth, creamy, and very tart, so it pairs perfectly with frozen berries in this special smoothie recipe. You can compare it to drinking yogurt, although Kefir is richer and has more probiotics, naturally.

#HEALTHYFATS FOR THE WIN

One of my favorite things about this recipe is that it is full of healthy raw fats, which your body needs to perform optimally. Healthy raw fats contribute to proper brain development, healthy skin, nails, and more. Healthy fats are overall very important for your body to function optimally; in fact, they are essential. Amazingly, this recipe also features Heavy Raw Cream, which is pure milk-fat! Heavy Raw Cream is separated from our Whole Raw Milk and bottled separately to become its own product. We also make our delicious raw butter with it. From personal experience, I’ve found that when I add raw cream into my smoothies, yogurt, or plain glass of raw kefir, I feel more satiated and energized throughout the day.

RECIPE

Please note that you can customize this recipe to your liking. The base of the recipe is Raw Kefir, Raw Cream, and frozen organic fruit. Some people may enjoy added raw honey, other types of fruit, or other fun additions. Get creative, and don’t forgoet to tag us so we can see the awesome smoothie creation you come up with. INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 Quart of RAW FARM Plain Raw Kefir

  • 2 tablespoons of RAW FARM Heavy Raw Cream

  • 1-2 cups of organic raw (or frozen) spinach

  • 1 tsp organic vanilla extract

  • 1/2 tsp organic ground turmeric

  • 2 scoops of organic whey protein powder

  • 3 cups of frozen organic (or wild) blueberries

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender and blend on medium speed for 30 seconds. Serve and enjoy for a delicious, nutritious breakfast, or store in a glass jar and save for later (or the following morning).
