VANILLA *RAW* ICE CREAM
Springtime is coming up, the pastures are rich, and our cows are well-nourished. They make delicious raw milk and raw cream this time of year. In fact, the color of our raw cream, butter, and cheese varies by season. The levels of beta-carotene from our lush green pastures are reflected in our product’s natural colors. Springtime brings the brightest colors.
I enjoy homemade raw ice cream because I know exactly what’s in it.
RECIPE:
1 1/2 cups whole raw milk
2 1/2 cups heavy raw cream
1 cup sugar/honey/or sweetener
1 pinch of salt
1 tablespoon vanilla
HOW-TO:
Mix all ingredients together in a kitchen aid stand mixer
Pour custard into your ice cream machine
Churn for 30-35 minutes.
Enjoy right away. Store the leftovers in an air tight container in the freezer for up to 7 days.
